About PAFruition
My name is Lauren Lewis and I am the founder of PAFruition. My consulting story starts in Colorado, my home state. This is where I met Brad Barnes, a college coach, who would undoubtedly shape the course of my life for the better. I went on to attend John Carroll University and shortly thereafter I progressed to PA School at University of Mount Union where I graduated in 2009. In 2016 I spent an evening with my parents reflecting on my course to adulthood. We all came back to one thing, "What if I never met Brad?". It was at that moment that I knew I wanted to bestow the gift that Brad had given me unto others. I wanted guide undergraduate students through the process of making one of the best career choices possible, becoming a Physician Assistant. I now know that there is nothing more rewarding than a phone call from a client who has achieved their goal of many years, admittance to PA school!
I began my career as a clinical Physician Assistant in 2011 working in adult neurosurgery at the Cleveland Clinic, I worked in pediatric surgery at Children's Hospital Colorado between 2014 to 2018, and currently work in burn surgery and intensive care unit at Akron Children's Hospital in Akron, Ohio.
I have remained passionate and engaged in the PA School community. I have served on the interview committee for PA school admissions at numerous universities. I also stay connected by volunteering to guest lecture for PA schools, proctor PA school practical exams, and precept pre-PA and PA students.
